The African Innovation Prize is UK-based registered charity, founded in 2010 to spur student innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa, through university-based business planning competitions. We are currently running competitions and trainings in three universities in Rwanda, and one in Sierra Leone.

Khandel Light
Khandel light works to improve the lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged families in Khandel and the villages surrounding it, located in the desert state of Rajasthan, India.
Working in close partnership with the local NGO, Nirman Sanstha Khandel, the Charity encourages local people to help themselves, focusing on long-term development projects including access to clean water and sanitation, better healthcare, education and housing. It also aims to raise the status of women. In this way, Khandel light hopes to make a real and lasting difference not only to families today, but also to those of tomorrow.
