The Humanitarian Centre offers a number of educational activities and courses. As well as raising general public awareness of the sector, we hope that participants will be inspired to consider volunteering with our members.

Currently we host or run the following educational events:

• the Certificate of Higher Education in International Development (an evening course of the Institute of Continuing Education). To book places on the modules, download this registration information, and complete this registration form. Please send the form to

• two one-day International Development Courses which comprise a series of lectures and workshops

• the Humanitarian Centre Annual Lecture

In addition, we occasionally run workshops in schools under the umbrella of the Harambee Centre.
